Holmen Aquatics Center in Asker, has been selected as one of 50 model projects for Future Built in Norway. This is recognition of this ambitious project, but Holmen Aquatics Center is designed to fulfill the Passive House criteria. Energy for the building will be acquired from geothermal wells on site as well as from solar power. Asker has taken an important step with this project, but energy is one of the most important issues for sustainable buildings.
